I was sent a link last week to take a look at a “must see” video. I didn’t know what it would be but I finally watched it. I’m so glad I did; it was a powerful conversation between a mother, daughter and grandmother.. not what I expected at all but definitely a heart pulling talk.

Nia Long, 5’2”, bares it all in the November issue of Ebony magazine. The beautiful, pregnant actress posed nude for the cover and gives readers an inside look into her pregnancy journal as she prepares for the latest chapter in her life. For the first time, she opens up about reconnecting with her West Indies family and how she and her partner, NBA player Ime Udoka are adjusting to the new changes in their lives.
In the issue, 40-year-old Nia speaks about her views on having children and getting married past a certain age. Here is a little snip- it from the interview.
“The medical profession tries to tell every woman, ‘Have your babies before 40…’ Society says, ‘Get married before 30…’ I think we just take our time as women, and do what comes natural to us and for us, we would make fewer mistakes.”

Toni will be joined by in the series by her sisters Traci, Towanda, Trina, and Tamar and their mom Evelyn. BRAXTON FAMILY VALUES premieres Tuesday, April 12 at 9pm ET/PT on WE

Petite Celeb: 5'2", Toni Braxton on the Pink Carpet
This week I’m shining the spotlight on Kristin Chenoweth. She is 4′ 11″ but don’t let her height fool you, she can hold her own in a room full of 6 footers with that personality of hers. She was recently on Extreme Home Makeover and I enjoyed her energy on the show.
Kristin has a love for the play Wicked, she starred in it early in her career ( I’m planning to see it in 2011, yaay ) , She loves Chick-fil-a and her style is sophisticated and chic. She is a true friend in my head.
Kristin will be performing on New Year’s Eve at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.

Former “Soul Food” star, Melinda Williams, 5′ 2″, looked super at the 5th Annual Black Girls Rock! Awards in New York City which aired on BET, Sunday November 7, 2010. I’m loving her little black dress and hidden platforms. Simple look but she is wearing it!! Radiant smile always adds to any outfit!
